BALLOON KYPHOPLASTY
Fluoroscopy-guided Advanced Spinal Pain procedures including;
Balloon Kyphoplasty for compression fracture due to osteoporosis. Any severe point tenderness and pain especially in elderly patients after sustaining a minor injury like fall from standing might have had a compression fracture (broke their vertebrae). Procedure involved vertebral cavity creation by balloon inflation then injection of medical cement to restore the height of the collapsed vertebra eleminating the back pain and opening room for nerves. Best candidates for this procedures when symptoms have not lasted for more than three months.
